For sale at only $1.59 million: House with a view and an invisible roommate

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – A beautiful and unusual home is for sale in Punta Gorda, Fla. It comes with a high price tag and a built in roommate.

"She's really not scary she just makes noise."
“She’s really not scary she just makes noise.”

The owners of the yellow Victorian say if you don’t believe in ghosts, the Sandlin home may change your mind. “It’s a great view so it’s a great place to be. And if you have a perpetual 14-year-old teenage girl playing trick on you, kinda fun,” said Vander Wynn.

Built in 1893, the historic house in downtown Punta Gorda has a tragic past involving a young girl named Mary Leah. “So, evidently kerosene spilled onto her, she caught on fire and then the burns ended up taking her life,” said Vander. Ever since the teenager’s death, the home is said to be haunted. Homeowners Vander and Natalie Wynn say they’ve heard footsteps and strange sounds, even the rustling of a young girl’s petticoats.

“I hear my wife walk down the stairs, and I call out her name and she says yes from a different part of the house. There’s some weird things like that you really can’t explain,” said Vander.
