How to keep children and grandchildren safe in 2024 is a much different challenge now than what most would have thought growing up.

Did such questions even occur to the doomed parents of the doomed children of Sodom and Gomorrah before Judgement Day?

In the United States, government officials were regarded as public servants motivated by the idealism of public service: Living for the sake of others and sacrificing personal agendas for the larger good were not only consistent with natural law stemming from Biblical precepts but enshrined by the Founding Fathers in the U.S. Constitution.

The erosion and collapse of this social contract did not occur suddenly as in the Bolshevik revolution but incrementally after the United States emerged as the post-WWII superpower with the associated wealth, power and corruption that tends to curse civilizations that earn God’s blessing.

Nowadays government officials and even public school principles and teachers too often see the public good and parents’ concern for their children’s welfare as not only secondary but as a negative and even threatening force.

Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters? No, we each will have to take matters into our own hands. Our children and our Grandchildren are ours and no one else’s.
