Today’s headline: Maui horror still a mystery; Like East Palestine, residents get no love, answers

There are two tracks for ingesting and digesting “news”.

Track One might be called “IV” or simply downloading as through an intravenous tube information about “what’s happening now” from a source deemed credible. This is the passive, uncritical approach and fits for those with more important priorities such as living well and “going with the flow.

Track Two is for more conscientious types who are not satisfied with one source of news and are blessed with critical faculties and a bullshit meter. They are not satisfied until all their questions have been answered.

But there are some news events such as the assassination of JFK, the death of Clinton White House counsel Vince Foster, the horrific wild fires in Maui, Hawaii, the death of Barack Obama’s chef on Martha’s Vineyard and what exactly went down between midnight and 7 a.m. at several swing states on election night 2020 in which neither Track One nor Track Two can provide “the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”

Upon reflection it is clear that in all of the above examples, someone is in the know and has the answers. But that person and those persons are not talking. The prevailing assumption for the secret cabal of those in the know is that it is none of our business. As the FBI agents told the laptop repair store owner about the radioactive Hunter Biden laptop: ““In our experience, nothing ever happens to those that don’t talk about these things.”

In other words, as Winston learned in George Orwell’s “1984,” the truth could be extremely dangerous to one’s health. And so the tragic tendency, as seen in any number of now communist countries such as North Korea,China, Cuba and Venezuela is to simply go along, keep one’s head down, don’t ask questions and “don’t talk about these things.”

Eventually however, God’s original nature in the minds of the masses achieves critical mass. “There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” Luke 12:2.
